PARISH MISSION: FEAST OF THE IMMACULATE CONCEPTION OF THE BLESSED VIRGIN MARY
Father Raymond lead a parish mission on December 5th, 6th and 7th at 7pm in the church. There was a holy hour on Tuesday and Wednesday evenings, and on Thursday, the vigil Mass was held for our Lady's feast day.
The theme this year was "From the Rising of the Sun to its Setting" and will focus on the titles of Mary as the "morning star" and "star of the sea".
A parish mission is a time of grace for a parish, days to gather together for prayer and worship on a particular theme. Our parish patronal feast day is Wednesday, 14 September, the Feast of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross.
The theme of the parish mission was "Why the Cross is a Triumph". Two mission sermons were given on September 12th and 13th, followed by a short period of Adoration, Litany of the Holy Cross and Benediction.
Holy Mass was celebrated on our parish patronal feast day, Wednesday, September 14th.
